Watchdog to pay 25 mln rbl for system to control banned sites muting

MOSCOW, Mar 22 (PRIME) -- Russia’s federal state unitary enterprise General Radio Frequency Centre, controlled by the communications service, is ready to pay 25 million rubles for development of a system to control blocking of locally-banned resources, according to materials on the state purchases portal, seen by PRIME on Friday.

The system will automatize work of the center, in charge of a technical part of blocking of forbidden resources, to cut costs of its activities. The system will allow for control of blocking by search engines, virtual private networks, proxy servers, and anonymizers of banned websites.

The documents say the system is not new either from design or technology, but it has no existing analogues by the degree of automatization in Russia.

A winner will be chosen in April.
